Would anyone recommend using sold on Cyprus for buying a property

Post by Sara6491 »

We are hoping to come over to Paphos ASAP to look for property.
Was wondering if anyone have used sold on Cyprus and what they are like.

Hi,

I sold an apartment this year, I used Sold On Cyprus, though I actually sold it to a friend of a friend myself, I was very pleased with them, they had plenty of viewings, kept me up-dated seem fairly honest and helpful.

Hi Sara,
We are in the same position as you, we've already had 3 trips cancelled.
We met Sold on Cyprus at the Manchester Place in the Sun back in March and have been in touch ever since, they know our requirements, email properties of interest and even rang us last wk, the team we've spoke to our down to earth and professional with it.

Hello to you both,
Advice is still the same Dodo, don't get stuck with one Agent or developer here. The one that you mention is relatively new, there are several others who operate on line if you take a look there. We used Cyprus101.com when we sold our house who I thought worked very well, gave feedback on clients. They sold our house very quickly.
But unless you know the island and Paphos area very well indeed, its advisable to rent for at least 6-12mths. That way you can view likely properties as they come up. Also decide on exactly where you want to live.

We used them last year, they sold our property, despite not having as many viewings as another company that we also signed up with. Very good firm. My only reservation was at the time to pay their fees, we had to go to the bank, because they didn't have a card machine. Perhaps they have one now though.

Sold on Cyprus are highly recommended. The above comments are wrong. When the property market crashed in 2008. SOC stayed afloat, there office was in the East Coast. When the property market picked up again they open up an office in the Paphos.

Sold on Cyprus was formed in 2002. Licensed Real Estate Agent AM625

British owned with key personnel having over 25 years Financial and Legal experience . The Company was structured to give a complete service.

The consultant team are all expats with personal experience of moving , living and working in Cyprus.

Their aim is to ensure your purchase in Cyprus is as stress free as possible ..an enjoyable experience with no regrets.

I wouldn’t have thought it mattered if they were involved. To me, it gives reassurance to the recommendations on here?

....and I’m usually a cynical bugger too! 😀

I am also cynical. Especially when they EMPATHISE so strongly. Most people just say something like. "Yes I used and were happy with them".
