Woohoo! The fix I applied to get the news importer working again has worked.

If anybody is interested, an intermediate security certificate had expired.

Um, anyway. Have a nice day.

No, I wrote the one we use. However, they will both be doing the same thing; crawling other websites.

I could make more news stories appear. I wouldn't really want them flooding the forum though. What do people think?

Perhaps you know or could find out who the Community Leader Is who' has been recently arrested? I have noticed that often on local news a story hits the papers, but no name is given?

I think there are enough news stories on the forum. It is ever so easy to flick through CYMail and CYPress yourself to be informed enough. Concerning weather forecasts I am using two different German weather websites, which were much more accurate in the past.

Memory Man, I think you have it wrong.. the Question was...
"I could make more news stories appear. I wouldn't really want them flooding the forum though. What do people think?"

You already post News Items so your contributions would be in the ones we already receive..

If you stop posting them we would have less, not more..

MM I wasn't referring to your posts. I was speaking in general terms about the news importer. I could automate it so that every news story from Cyprus Mail and In Cyprus etc appears, but that would be way too much.
