EU won't tell airlines to leave middle seat empty as travel resumes

Post by Paphos Life »

Did anyone really think, airlines would fly with empty seats.

As soon as flights are available, I’ll be coming home over. The face mask is ready to be used!

Which is what I´d have expected.

I guess if you normally pay 19.99 for a seat then 30 is still not bad!

Back to the good old days 15 years ago when seats were common place LHR - LCA for £300+ each way.

Back in the day, when you had a choice of either British airways or Cyprus airways.
Some how the fare was always miraculously the same for both airlines, funny that

Yes, but it was a better service with a hot meal included- -Cyprus Airways used to have a very generous baggage allowance, back in the day!

The problem will be how many airlines will survive this if lock downs go on for too long?

Quite a few book seats as soon as they are released. Threads appear announcing that Easyjet have released next Mays tickets etc fairly regularly.
