I think for older people internet banking is a problem, many just use the bank to collect pensions and pay the odd bill, no excuse for younger computer savvy people to go to the banks thou.

My Dad's over 80 and he copes fine. The main problem seems to be lack of trust in the system, rather than an inability to use it.

I was thinking more of the elderly locals I see in the bank on pension day, most of them wouldn't have a clue on how to operate a computer.

I can understand that, but the queues witnessed at banks are not full of Yiayias.

The few times I had to use the bank in Polemi and Stroumpi there was the odd Yiayia. I know because they would sit down rather than queue, which was totally understandable, but it was always worthwhile letting them know that you knew they were in front of you.
