What a night bad storm.

Post by JimX »

That was a bad night, power off, very strong winds and even now at 7am it is lashing it down, I do not believe in Coptic storms but this is close....

It was indeed a very bad storm. We think it was the worst we have experienced since moving here in 2006. I have not been all round outside yet so I cannot see if there is any damage to the building.
However I think the only damage is that a large swinging settee and it's frame have been turned over..
I did hear that a tree or trees had been blown over here in Polemi

Sorry for you folks up in the hills. All quite down here. We have had a gentle drizzle and still raining now. Hope there is no damage Trev.

I heard the wind at one point during the night and its been pouring with rain. It looks very misty around the coast now. These storms always seem to be worse over the hills.
Was the storm forecast?

You must have a well insulated house Lincoln, as I'm a close neighbour to you in Kissonerga, and the wind was incredibly fierce last night. I quite expected the roof to fly away!

I've discovered that the wind last night had ripped off the cowling over a wing mirror; nowhere to be found, though not checked in the sea yet! :x

Been down to a friends house on saturday to cut up a tree and pull it out of there pool.
It was a tree in the middle of some others that came down!
