Precautions being taken in the TRNC:
The actions taken within the scope of the decisions taken are as follows.
Thermal Camera was installed in Ercan Airport.
Ambulance Transport, the path to follow at the Airport Case Tracking Algorithm, which specifies how to identify and monitor the possible cases, was prepared by our experts on TSHD and Infectious Diseases and sent to the relevant departments of the Ministry and the Medical Association.
Two GSM lines were activated to report possible cases of Coronavirus.
A Quarantine Department, including the Intensive Care unit, was created at Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.
Posters were prepared for the public, explaining what they can do about Coronavirus Protection, and distributed to Ercan Airport, Border Gates, State Hospitals and Health Centres.
In line with the updated information, the Case Management Guide was updated for all healthcare professionals.
On 3/2/2020, in the bi-communal Health Technical Committee organised by the Presidency, the two communities shared the measures they took mutually.
Thermal cameras were also installed in Girne and Famagusta Ports.
Public awareness was prepared and has been increased.
Necessary equipment was taken to the Genetic Laboratory for Coronavirus analysis.
A meeting was planned with university representatives to assess the situation of foreign students.
In this process, the necessary measures will continue to be taken depending on the course of the epidemic, making announcements in aircraft and increasing the measures at the border gates are some of them.
As of 26.02.20, if necessary, temperature measurement and inquiry will be activated at all border gates. Temperature measurement and questioning at the sea ports and airport are still continuing.
A quarantine centre has been established and funding is also expected from the Ministry of Finance.

Coronavirus: Six confirmed cases in Cyprus, containment measures stepped up
Schools close tomorrow and police have started checking compliance at restaurants and other indoor venues as new measures come into force to contain the spread of coronavirus in Cyprus.
Health Minister Constantinos Ioannou has indicated that more measures are under consideration.
A four year old child and a passenger who flew to Cyprus from Gatwick last night are under examination as suspect coronavirus cases after running a high fever.
Here are some of the main developments
There are six confirmed cases. Three have been hospitalised at Famagusta General Hospital which has been designated the referral hospital for confirmed cases. This is intended to clear up space at Nicosia and Limassol Hospital for cases which are under investigation.
Health officials said they are tracing the people they may have contacted. One of the three hospitalised patients is understood to be a Paphos taxi driver who did not travel abroad and had not come into contact with a confirmed case.
Authorities at Larnaca Airport were placed on alert last night after they were notified that a passenger aboard a plane from Gatwick was exhibiting high temperature. The man, a 28 year old Greek Cypriot, was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital and the remaining 147 passengers and five crew were taken to the old terminal building for checks. Some objected to being screened and giving their details and police were called in to help health officials. After checks, all were instructed to self-isolate. If the 28 year old tests positive, they will be tested.
New rules that came into force yesterday has set a 75 people ceiling at indoor cafes, restaurants and other venues. Police last night in Limassol carried out checks at a number of establishments. One indoor venue at Zakaki was found to have more than 75 people and they were asked to lave.
Schools in Nicosia have been closed since Wednesday and schools at all levels, private and public, across the island will close for a week tomorrow. Officials said this was a precaution to contain the spread of coronavirus. There have been no reported cases at any academic institutions so far.
The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics has been carrying out dozens of tests. About 250 tests were carried out yesterday of which four tested positive.
A four year old child is being examined at Makarios Hospital. The child has come into contact with a confirmed case and yesterday developed a fever and was taken to the children’s hospital last night. The child is said to be in a good condition, but has been placed in isolation pending the results of the tests.
The government is preparing support measures for companies and workers to address the fallout from the coronavirus outbreak Finance Minister Constantinos Petrides said on Wednesday. Labour Minister Zeta Emilianidou is discussing support for parents who need to stay home because of the closure of schools, among other issues.
President Nicos Anastasiades has called an urgent meeting of the ministerial committee set up to address the coronavirus situation at the Presidential Palace to discuss the situation with the coronavirus.

The UK has been bumped back up to category 2 in the south, meaning that travelers from that country will be required to remain in isolation and be monitored over the telephone for 14 days from their date of travel.
More cases in Cyprus were confirmed with the novel coronavirus on Thursday, while new guidelines have been issued on both sides of the divided island.
State health officials in the Republic of Cyprus said four more cases of the coronavirus were confirmed on Thursday, bringing the total to ten in the south, while one more tested positive in the north bringing the total to two.
Six infected people in the south remained in self-quarantine, while four cases in the south and two in the north were still under quarantine in hospitals.

Coronavirus: Pharmacies to remain open, visits to be managed
Pharmacies will remain open, but visits by the public will be managed with the introduction of measures in the next few days to protect against the spread of coronavirus, the president of the Pharmacists Association Eleni Piera told the Cyprus News Agency on Friday.
But she stressed that pharmacies will remain open through the crisis to support the public.
Instructions will be given regarding visits, she added.
“It is self-evident that in the event the epidemic takes on dimensions in Cyprus as well, visits to pharmacies must be controlled to avoid transmission of the virus among those infected as well as to those working there,” she said.
But the pharmacies will remain open even if the epidemic climaxes. “Already in Italy shops have closed except for pharmacies. Pharmacists carry out a vocation and this is how they will operate. But some restrictions will be introduced to protect the pharmacist and the public,” she noted.
For example, Greece has introduced rules so that only a few people enter a pharmacy at a time for those remaining open off duty hours, they must maintain at least two steps distance from the others, avoid crowding, not make unnecessary visits and not linger. If they cough or sneeze, they must protect the mouth and nose and sanitise the hands,” she added.
Pharmacies disinfect surfaces at regular intervals to protect visitors and people working there.
The measures are expected to be introduced in th next few days after a teleconference during which pharmacists will be informed about the guidance issued by the World Federation of Pharmacists and the Union of European Pharamacists.
Posters will be put up with information to the public regarding symptoms of coronavirus.
Shortage in masks, antiseptics
Piera said there has been increased demand in masks, antiseptics for the hands and antiviral medicine. There is also increased demand for pharmaceuticals for chronic conditions as patients want to stock up. There is also demand for vitamins.
“This is not irrational given the situation. What is irrational is the quantities people are asking for. Because of the panic they are making excessive purchases and this is something that the pharmacists must manage,” she said.
There is currently a shortage in masks and antiseptics, with some small quantities arriving each week, but these are not enough to cover even one tenth of the orders pharmacies have placed.
She urged prudence in buying and using masks so as to ensure availability for those who really need them — patients and those who come into contact with them.
She would not comment on whether a shortage of pharmaceuticals was anticipated, saying this was a question that needed to be answered by the pharmaceutical companies and stressing the need for proper management.

Re: Coronavirus Update (Live)
Allergies, flu or coronavirus? How to understand the difference
Coronavirus has infected more than 100,000 people worldwide. With all these strict precautionary measures taken one country after another, it is natural for many people to worry every time they feel their throat tickling or coughing. How right are they though?
Although coronavirus is definitely something to take seriously, the chances of a person getting stuck with the virus are still quite low. But if you're wondering if your stuffed nose might end up confirming the worst-case scenario, CNNi, in collaboration with Mayo Clinic Medical and Research Director Greg Polland, analyzes the differences between the symptoms of a typical allergy, of seasonal influenza, and those of coronavirus.
Heavy eyes? Nasal runny nose? You probably have allergies - or some cold
The problem with seasonal allergies is that they affect the nose and eyes. They tend to be nasal, and most symptoms are located on the head unless you also have a rash.
Symptoms of coronavirus and influenza tend to be more systemic
This means that they affect the whole body.
Influenza and the new coronavirus affect both other systems and the lower respiratory tract. Your nose will probably not run, but what you may have is a sore throat, cough, fever or shortness of breath. Therefore, it is a quite different clinical diagnosis.
Watch Your Temperature: Doctors say it is very unlikely that allergies can cause fever. They usually do not cause shortness of breath unless you have a pre-existing condition, such as asthma.
Symptoms of allergy appear regularly and are usually mild
Polland says that if you had the same symptoms at about the same time each year, you might be experiencing seasonal allergies. In this case, conventional medicines and other regular health precautions will help you feel better.
Coronavirus and flu symptoms can worsen you
If you have an acute case of coronary or influenza, you will feel so tired that you will only want to lie down in bed. Everyone will see the difference. Allergies may make you feel tired, but they will not cause severe muscle or joint pain.
Symptoms of cold and mild flu usually disappear on their own
Under normal circumstances, if you have the flu you will start to feel better with rest and proper care within a few days (unless you are elderly or already burdened with health, so it may take longer for even mild illnesses).
Coronavirus and acute flu symptoms can worsen over time
If you have a bad case of influenza or coronavirus, your condition may worsen when you expect it to improve. This is a sure sign of the need for seeking medical care.
What will raise the suspicion of coronavirus is the bad. People can also develop flu-like pneumonia, which occurs in a similar way so in any case you will want to seek medical attention.
The initial symptoms of allergies, colds, flu and coronavirus may be similar
Unfortunately, the early stages of colds, flu and coronavirus can be very similar and some cases of coronavirus and influenza can be so mild that they do not cause concern. This is why you need to pay attention to see if your symptoms persist, especially if you are in a high-risk group.
"We worry about the elderly, people with asthma or other lung diseases, people with heart disease or diabetes, as well as pregnant women," Poland says.
The cases of coronavirus usually fall into some context
You think you have the coronavirus. The doctor says that any doctor is obliged to ask you some questions, such as:
Have you recently traveled, and if so, where?
Did you have someone in your home or did you have a partner or classmate who traveled? Where did they go;
Have you had someone in your home who came from areas where the outbreak is more severe?
Have you been on a cruise ship?
Do you live near an outbreak?
"You feel like a detective trying to collect pieces of data," Polland says, pointing out that if anyone is worried he should call his doctor. "Describe your symptoms and he will decide. Not everyone can do the test, and they certainly can't do it again and again. "

We have a suspected case of Covid19 in our house. The stepson is now in isolation as per UK Government health advice. It should not effect him too badly as he spends his life, outside of work, in his room.
It started with a raised temperature yesterday and this morning it morphed into a dry cough.
