Paphos: 39 drivers booked in 18 hours

Traffic police in Paphos booked 39 drivers for a range of traffic offences in two campaigns in town and in the district's secondary road network from 7 am on Monday to 1 am on Tuesday....

Pity if MP’s are watering down the increased charges for these serious driving offences, as if they were left as they were previously, more people might be shocked into behaving responsibly when driving. I think that cars parked on bends and those parked in disabled spaces should be given the full weight of these fines..or towed away.
Unfortunately, hitting offenders hard in their pockets may be the only way that they can be persuaded to obey the law!

I generally drive 3 times a week east coast to Pafos return same day. Since the New Year the number of police speed traps has risen and so far have seen 3 different unmarked police cars pull people up for speeding.

We go to Paphos from Polemi a few times a week. We saw more police about yesterday than we have seen for a long time

I go from Pegeia to Coral Bay 7 times a weak and have seen loads of fuzz about with blue lites on their cars.
