Electric cars in CY would be mostly charged from EAC sources and the overall carbon emissions will be higher from the power stations than those of the bangers they replace.

That's a good point. One of those funny little cars would be ideal as an electric car. I mean those ones that are about half the length of an ordinary car.

The MINI electric is a small car with large battery (230 km range) which one can also charge at home overnight, best if you have a PV-netmetering system though...

All Electric vehicles

Wait until they need new batteries!, then you may understand they are at the moment not really feasible unless Bi-fueled type, see Top Gear on these cars.

A future car maybe, but as far as I am aware there are no charge points on the road for all electric vehicles on Cyprus.

From the article:
The electric car needs to have a capacity of less than 1,800 cc.
What does that mean? Do you gauge battery capacity in cc now?

I've seen a couple of charging points in the large car park near the Limassol seafront.

Locations across the island plus costs here https://www.eac.com.cy/EN/NonRegulatedA ... %20(2).pdf
