I feel sure that you are right, Lloyd, and Wikipedia gives a fairly accurate picture. I don’t believe all the ‘Foamy’ stuff at the start of this post.. Though as far as I know the birth of Aphrodite says she emerged from the sea foam near the fabled rock! But its an ancient belief and good for tourism...

Thanks, Dominic. Your blog was very interesting as I’ve visited some of these cemeteries previously. But we didn’t explore the whole area. As you said parts of it are fairly inaccessible and you have to be careful due to the steep slopes... so well done!
