PV-owner? Check your inverter after the storms

Post by cyprusmax47 »

This is a message only for owners of a photo-voltaic net-metering system.

Luckily I check every day what the readings on my PV inverter are... and today it was blinking red with the message no grid connection.
I went through all the fuses and found one on the AC side had dropped obviously from the vicious lightnings last night.

After I switched that circuit breaker on, the inverter started working OK again after some automatic resetting and everything is fine.
So I lost a bit of the morning production, which was not that much for sure with the clouds and rain....

Thanks for that info / reminder Max. This has happened once in the past to me.. Fortunately I go past the inverter at least twice a day on dog walks so I can always see if it is working or not.
