Film of Trozena Waterfall and Skarfos Bridge

Post by Dominic »

This film accompanies our next blog and the most recent one we just published. If the rains continue then Trozena Waterfall will be much more of a spectacle than any overflowing reservoir, and you will probably have the view to yourself.

Meanwhile, Skarfos Bridge has been renovated, and doesn't it look good now?

Thanks. I bought a camcorder. It makes all the difference. It shoots in 4K so I can reduce it down to HD. This means I can film a broader area then select later the point of focus.

This also means I can give up trying to do manual pans, which are never going to be very professional.

I gave my sone a present of the DJI Osmo 3-axis gimbal phone mount - had a play and it is superb for walking and moving video - I think you have something similar?

No, I have a camcorder.

You can get gimbals for any type of camera, but decent ones for a DSLR or camcorder are quite expensive. It's all relative, because outside of lens covers, pretty much anything is expensive in the DSLR world.

The smooth moving images you see on videos I have done from a car are done using my 360 camera, which has very good image stabilisation built in.

What a beautiful film, thanks Dominic, loved the cats too.

Drone footage would be great!
