Yokohama Air Con - Help!

Post by Tuppence »

We have 2 of the above air cons in our rental apartment which we used occasionally in the summer - would now like to use for an occasional heat boost but OH can't work out how to do it. He's trying Google & Youtube but he's getting on a bit now & not as able as he used to be!! The remote control is an i-JMB Universal remote. Any help appreciated.

Perhaps a battery change can solve the problem...?

Thanks Max, the batteries are new. Perhaps our air cons can't be used to provide warm air.

If it is a Yokohama TCL DC Inverter unit it has got also a heat function. When unit is switched on you push the "mode" button on your remote control until its indicator shows heat. After that you set the temperature in the beginning on 26c and after 3 minutes or so it should start blowing warm air...
Later you can reduce the temperature setting to app 23c.

Not sure of the type of air con as we don't have a manual but still can't get it to work. We do have other forms of heating so it's not critical & we'll contact the landlord after the holidays to find out more.
Many thanks for trying to help.
