Butcher Boy - re-locating

Post by memory man »

I picked up a leaflet on Saturday @ Butcher Boys shop.

It seems as from February 2020 they are moving to
Adamantiou Kopah 15, which I believe is the same street
as Tower Electric, just up from the traffic lights @ Phukhet.

The whole of the old supermarket would seem too big for the butchers..

At least far better parking there. Wise decision.

Will this become the new Butcher Boy Road?
If you never ask the question, the answer will always be....no

Ha ha... good question. It will be strange still using that name for the road that they are on now .

Easy solution ;)

One will be called " Old Butcher Boy road "

and the other will be called " New Butcher Boy road "

Problem solved................... I am a genius

Kolios Butchery & Delicatessen will like the fact that their competition in the same area is moving far away. IMO a lot of ButcherBoy customers of the area will move to Kolios who sell quite nice own produced wines as well...

I must admit that I am a little surprised that they are moving from a very busy shopping street to a mainly holiday makers area..

The new location, if correct, would be no good for me, it would really be out of my way and mean driving through the busiest part of town instead of passing it on my way home. So I would use Kolios instead. I'm hoping they're opening a 2nd shop rather than moving. Guess I'll find out next time I go in, there doesn't seem to be anything on their Facebook page.

It would be good for all the people coming from Coral Bay, Peyia, Kissonerga, Chlorakas etc etc.

Yes it would. It would save them going up what is sometimes called Suicide Alley

I wonder why? I would surmise that a large percentage of their clientelle currently comes from north of Paphos town centre, with relatively easy access from the Polis Road. Yes, we have regularly shopped there, and at Kolios, but it will make it much more difficult to get to BB. Is it because the Mall is just around the corner and attracts a lot of locals and holiday-makers?

Apparently they are moving into or near the old butcher shop that used to be on that road.
