As far as I can see, you need to have your mobile number registered to the account. When you make the transaction it’ll send you a code by sms, pop that into the box on the screen and then hit the process button.

I've always had a digipass, since the days of Laiki
It's a small device about the size of a matchbox but sort of oval in shape

I needed it each time a transferred money out of my account
About 6 (?) months ago they asked me to change to mobile phone text service.
Once I set it up (not that easy), now, when I transfer money, they text me a OTP (One Time Passcode?) which I enter into their box to confirm the transaction.

Here's another address for you. You have to apply and then go through the hoops and ,of course, it costs you.

Re: Bank of Cyprus,,help!
Practical experience from less than one month ago.
I contacted the BOC help line to request the digipass.
I was told I had to visit any BOC branch.
Visited local branch and the helper printed an application with all my details, I had to sign and date this.
Then told to wait 3 or 4 days when I would receive a test (SMS) message asking me to call the pain number provided.
I received the SMS that I had to contact them to activate the pass.
Rang the number given on SMS and this put me through to a operative who then verified who I was and activated the SMS function.
You need to have to hand your 8 digit 1Bank username and password.
I needed the Digipass to make an IBAN payment from BOC to an account off island and within the EU.
I also had a Laiki token from days of old which I had a joke about where to shove it with the call centre operator.
