Agree although we do not now use the Hellenic bank, we also did not notice extra charges with our Debit card, this I will look into, but never had any real problems with Transferwise, usually the cash is in my BOC account next day.

For IK this was my last charge from TW Fee of £6.92 GBP (two weeks ago)

Cannot see any higher than the last time fee.

We have no such charges as we use Currency Fair who charge a flat fee of £3.00 irrespective of the amount.

I used them too Lincoln, but I prefer the way you can transfer with a debit card, recommended by Lloyd to me some time back, also the transfer system is much easier we think.

Just to confirm - you transferred one thousand pounds for the cost of £6.92.
The funds usually arrive in your account the following day.

That would have been €3 if you had used Currency Fair and it would have been cleared in your Cyprus account the following day.

I thought one of the plus factors of Transferwise was that the money was in your Cyprus account the same day.

The last charge rate for Transferwise I had was £3.77 for each £1000 involved.
Any delay in receiving from the UK has always been at this end with BOC.
Happy with their exchange rates and do the transaction on s smart phone, nice and simple.

I agree with all HIC and bromerzz say. I have had no problems with Transfer wise at all. That includes transfers to countries within and outside Europe.

Thanks for all the posts about Transferwise but I do prefer knowing in advance that the fee is fixed. Some Cyprus banks charge for the inward payment depending on the amount so there are quite a few factors involved so at the end of the day it's the amount sent vs the amount received that counts. I have always budgeted at £1 = €1.12 and that works for me.

Hi Lloyd, You need funds in the Revolut account to use the visa they give you (anywhere in the world) but can pay money into the account via a debit card instantly and then convert it instantly to any currency and then transfer it to where you want, with no fees.

I transfer euros regularly and if done early am arrives in Cyprus around 1pm.

Update. Recipient received in UAE after 4 days! Very poor service I think & it wasn't a large sum!

Further update. Transfer from my Transferwise account to a high street bank account in the UK. There in 6 mins. I did check with the recipient.

I have opened a Revolut account , easy to do you take a photo of your passport , then take a selfie and within minutes they confirm it is you and the account is open . I paid in £50 from a U.K. debit card as a trial , exchanged it for Euros at just over 1.16 . Transferred it to my Hellenic bank and it was here within a few hours . No fee , I will try a a larger amount in a few days . The card will be with me soon .
