Cyprus submitted an application to become part of the Schengen area in September, Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides told parliament on Monday. The government has submitted the application for security reasons and we are now expecting the European Union to come?? and start its evaluation process which is divided in five parts, the Minister also told MPs....

So, anyone who gets an EU passport from the TRNC, will be able to leave Cyprus for any EU country?

I think you will find that Turkish Cypriots have to apply for a ROC passport in the government area. Presently Cyprus lets Schengen visa holders enter the government controlled area even though it's not yet an official member.

Only Turkish Cypriots are eligible for ROC passports, Turkish illegal settlers and their dependants are not.
