The Cats of St Theodosius

Post by Dominic »

A few weeks ago we visited an Eastern Orthodox Church near Paphos Airport, as it had some interesting murals. Well, we came and saw the murals, but were conquered by a host of cute kitties that lived in the church grounds...

Thanks for the posting, Dominic. The church is quite close to us and we had never been there so we went to see it this morning. We noticed the cats first. One by one they came out to see us and the abandoned kitten was among the first. They were all very friendly and were quite happy to be stroked. One little black and white one with a lopsided nose went and sat by our car and despite relocating him with the other cats he kept wandering back. In the end I held him while my OH moved the car. I suspect we will go back and visit soon, with some cat food. Sadly, we can't adopt one for a variety of reasons but they all look reasonably healthy and, certainly when we saw them, contented.
