Thank you MM for that, but I still cannot get it to search. Maybe because the first name of the doctor is not posted here?

If Dr last name is MAVROMMATIS

Try Costas as his first name.

Thank you Galexinda, in fact after contacting the main office of GHS service the representative did contact me late yesterday and explained how to get to my request, she said as you have done ignore the top line just fill in the lower three questions, and I then got a full list of GHS Urologists in Pafos who give GESY service, just have to pick one and make an appointment,

Thank you.

You certainly need a referral letter before you can register to see the doctor for the appointment..
Not sure if you need the letter to actually make the appointment though..

Yes, anyone who wants to see a Specialist Doctor has to get a referral letter from their Personal Doctor.

Even those patients who have an appointment that was made prior to May 2019 need to get a referral letter as since 01 September the system only recognises GESY registered patients. Many reports on FB by people turning up for an appointment and being turned away. Each time I have made an appointment I have been told that the doctor will not see me unless I can produce the referral letter as it not only has an expiry date but also the number of eligible visits during that time (usually valid for 3 months from date of issue).

I thought you had to get a referral letter from your GP first.

Austin7.

You do need a referral letter of course from your GP, I had this last week, but the hospital I use for that GHS do not provide a Urologist and did not say where I could find one, that list is fairly comprehensive and will try to get the Urologist at the Blue Cross tomorrow for an appointment, hopefully better than the General where I know it takes many months to see him...

The reports that people were being turned away does not tell the full story. They were being turned away at the main reception when trying to get their strip of stickers. They were being told to go and see their nominated GP to get a referral, not just being turned away, as such. This requirement only started on September 1st. I know I was there on September 2nd and was told to get a referral letter despite having an appointment with the specialist. I then went to see my GP and she gave me a referral which I took directly to the main registration desk and got the required stickers. Took an extra 20 minutes. No big problem. Now that everyone knows the procedure queues at registration are vastly reduces.

Varky.. My wife had an appointment to see a heart consultant at the Hospital.. She did not know anything about needing a referral letter... Do you not think they could have rung the people on the consultants list to tell them about needing a letter.... or even made an exception for appointments already made.
By the sounds of it your GP is at the hospital so not much of a big deal for you.. But our GP is not there but at a surgery a 15 minutes drive away.. So my wife has had to get another appointment for a later date ..

All test results from Labs are available on the GESY website where you can then print if you need hard copy. When you visit your PD you do not need to take the results, the PD can see them on his/her computer screen.

trevnhil,
One of the reasons why I chose to stay with a GP at the General. All under one roof.

Not that it is of any help to you or any other non Greek speakers (like myself), but I think the new requirements after 31st August were published in the local newspapers. Not sure about English language newspapers though.

Even so on 2nd September (Monday) there were plenty of locals falling foul of the new requirements.
