Paphos Municipality has signed an agreement with an architectural firm to carry out a study and oversee the planned construction of two linear parks in the east and northwest of the town.
Mayor Phedon Phedonos said that the project of great significance and expressed the hope that construction can start in 2020.
The east linear park will start from the final roundabout on the Limassol-Paphos highway and end up in Limnaria in Kato Paphos.
The northwest park will start near Ayios Neophytos high school, go west of Mouttalos neighbourhood and end up at Diplarkatzia, on the municipality’s boundaries with Chlorakas.
The two parks will increase green areas in the urban and wider urban area of the town of Paphos as the two streams which delineate the west and east boundaries will become not only green areas but a place for training and walking, the municipality said.

Re: Two new linear parks for Paphos
That's what I wondered, so I Googled it.
It's longer than it is wide.
Re: Two new linear parks for Paphos
Time will tell! Hopefully some plans of whats intended might surface.. Is the NW Paphos park the area behind Paps in Ellados Ave. That is adjacent to part of Mouttalos, I thought that the land here belonged, or used to, to Turkish Cypriot owners? At present there is an old lane which links the back of Paps to the Aluminum factories, not far from traffic lights onto the Old Town to Chloraka Rd. It is a useful short cut.

True. Does the Paphos Municipality employ sufficient gardeners and workers to look after 2 extra parks and keep all the existing parks and green areas in a good condition?
Perhaps there will be new cycle ways and pedestrian walking paths through them
