Awning

Post by Tuppence »

Looking to get an awning for a very sunny balcony. In rented accommodation & will have to be manually operated not electric. Any recommendations for suppliers?

Give Franks blinds a call.

https://www.franksblinds.com/

He supplied and fitted a retractable canopy for us,
and also has fitted fly screens and window blinds
in our house.

After looking around places specializing in awnings we bought two at Superhome for a fraction of the price, for the villa we rent. Sizes were about 2.5M and 1.5M, can’t remember exact price. Have had them four years now and still going strong.

Remember to take it with you when you leave the property.

I can support MM’s recommendation, not the cheapest option but you get a professional service, and a high quality, and importantly robust product. I had one fitted over 6 years ago on a south facing garden, it looks as good as the day it was installed and works perfectly, no stretch, discolouration and the canvas is in excellent condition.

Some of the supermarkets also sell them at a fraction of the price of other outlets. We bought ours from Paps in the centre of town.
