It was so weird how Syd Barrett turned up at their recording studios when they were recording this album, and they couldn't recognise him to start with.

Truly, the drugs don't work...

Morning boss.

Yes, it was strange while they were recording, none of the band recognised him as you said at first, he left never to be seen by them again, he, of course, wrote most of the Floyds music, he was much loved by all of the band.

It's funny how bands change their music through the years. I like the Gabrial-era Genesis, and still play Supper's Ready while I am formatting a stack of photos, to alleviate the monotony. I don't think I've once looked for Invisible Touch on Youtube though.

Oh and did you know that there is a hidden bit of violin at the end of the song Wish You Were Here? You can hear it right at the end. They were going to feature it more prominently but decided not to.

But thanks to the magic of youtube, you can even hear the version with Stéphane Grappelli playing in full.

It's lovely, once you get used to the altered song structure, but I prefer the one they finally went with.

Oh and good morning Jim. :)

Ooo ooo ooo.

Some clever chap has taken the violin from above and merged it with the published Wish You Were Here. So you can now hear the final song with extra violin.

And now I must get back to work...
