And what was your view on Brexit? What were you actually voting for? You don't know, do you? Nobody does yet.

I think my views are well documented on this forum. What did the remainers vote for ? they don't know either, just to remain means nothing, the future of the EU is unknown.

And surely you cannot think that the future of the UK is written in stone?

I think that, at present, it is looking more than likely Boris will be PM. I suspect he won't get support from the EU for a radical enough change to the deal, within the timescales. He, therefore, has to extend the period - which will alienate his buddies in the ERG and right of the party, or go for a no-deal which will split parliament, in theory, get voted down, potentially a vote of no confidence and a disastrous start. IF he gets a no-deal through, there will be immediate unrest. Scotland will force a Referendum on the basis of staying in the EU. RoUK will face turmoil over immigration and trade issues. I suspect that a general election will ensue before Boris has done his 3 years and the UK political scene will never be the same again.

If voting leave meant all this and more - with Farage a major player in UK politics, insidious racism and a poorer country ...

And now it's being reported that Boris is "donating" some of his MPs who he knows will vote for him to vote for another would be PM who he has no fears over in order to keep them both in the "top two" for the final running.... More #ToryDirtyTricks eh!

It seems he's definitely wary of Rory who is coming across really well so far.

Jim

No-one asked me or any member of my family these questions.

Devil

Of course not, but my point still stands.

The remainers will always pillory Boris and Nigel, it's as if the remainer M.P.s are whiter than white.

Compared to those two, the remainers are transparent.

Gove on the debate AGAIN lying that his father lost his business;

Michael Gove's father denies his company was destroyed by EU policies
This article is more than 3 years old
Ernest Gove says he sold fish processing firm in Aberdeen voluntarily, contradicting son’s claims

I'm amazed you can still put a bet on Boris to win. Sky bet have the following odds

Boris Johnson
1/12
Jeremy Hunt
12/1
Michael Gove
16/1

Still better than bank interest rates.

Don't agree that Rory stood head and shoulders above the rest, he was the only one not truly committed to Brexit, added to that he has obviously adopted the Corbyn dress code.

He was fully committed to Brexit, as he was starting where May left off. OK, no tie, so what? You don't judge a book by its cover (or perhaps you do!).

I liked the fact that Rory Stewart made it very clear there would be no tax cuts for anyone as it wasn't in the interest of keeping the country afloat. Cutting taxes meant cutting back on something else and that's not what he wanted to do.
Of course, all of those fat cats in the high end tax bracket didn't like hearing that so instead they've voted for those who will give them what they want - and everyone else can sod off.

How I judge people is down to me and nothing to do with you.

Lloyd

They are all self-serving twerps.

Jules

Stewart will, as with the others, say one thing and do another. Personally I believe that they all lie, time will tell.

It doesn't really matter though what anyone's opinion is, in the scheme of things.
Unless you're a paid up member of the Conservative party, we have no say as to who will become the "chosen one".
Either way, we're in the shit...
