Brexit Fears

Post by Jimgward »

Not Project fear, but the best advice out there - most from Government..... Any one would cause a re-election in normal times....

A few Scary Moments in Brexit land;

A ministerial appointment to oversee the protection of food supplies through the Brexit period has prompted alarm over shortages, and claims of how "catastrophic" the withdrawal process has become.

It comes amid rising concern over the prospect of Theresa May failing to reach an agreement with negotiators in Brussels and the ability to secure the passage of any deal through the Commons.

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), said the Conservative MP, David Rutley, was handed the brief earlier in September

Another one;

Brexit planners could use martial law against civil disobedience
Legislation would give ministers the power to impose curfews, travel bans, confiscate property and deploy the armed forces.

And another;

Pharmacists facing ‘massive shortages’ in common medicines across UK, experts warn
‘Uncertainty over Brexit appears to be a significant factor,’ says Gareth Jones, from the National Pharmacy Association

Yet Another;

No-deal Brexit would mean shortages and price rises, say retailers
Bosses of Sainsbury’s, Asda, M&S, Co-op and Waitrose write letter to government

And more;

Million job loss alert from no‑deal Brexit
A disorderly no-deal Brexit would plunge the UK into recession, cost a million Britons their jobs and leave households an average of £2,700 a year out of pocket, according to a leading global credit rating agency.

Standard & Poor’s said that the UK’s AA sovereign rating, the third highest grade, would be cut if Theresa May failed to secure a deal.

I think a no-deal cannot be on the cards - the ones who scream "brexit means Brexit" and propose a WTO leave with no deal are like members of a Cult - unable to see without their Nationalist blinkers....
