Posting in the Politics Section

Whatever your political persuasion, defend your corner here. All we ask is that you voice YOUR opinion, rather than just post a link to a half-hour youtube video. Politics can get a bit lively, and if you prefer a less combative debate, please post in the Politics for Moderates section instead.

Posting in the Politics Section

Post by Dominic »

Recently the political section has been getting a little too abusive.

If you cannot make your point without being abusive to other people, you have already lost the argument.

Why don't we all try having political discussions without calling each other idiots and other insults?

Here are a few points:

_________________________________________________

Most people who no longer go on about Brexit do so because they are bored of the subject. They are not sitting there looking at their feet and thinking they made a terrible mistake. They are just bored with going on about it.

Both sides told plenty of whoppers during the campaigns.

Neither side knows what the end result will be, and what affect it will have on the economy.

Nobody else knows what the end result will be either.

Now, accept the above and have some good-humoured intellectual intercourse with each other. Or argue elsewhere.

Every post I put into politics is suitably titled - don't enter the discussion if it doesn't interest you!

Agreed, keep it intellectual.... as to people bored by it.... plenty take part!

It is such an incredibly emotive subject and people do get carried away. Hopefully things will calm down a little now.

Sorry Dominic,

I was not aware that one had to report the obvious, but I shall be the 'Moaning Minnie' from now on, if that's what it takes to stop it.
