Turkeys President like other despots before him, will Fail....Turkey a few years ago was one of the most up and coming country's on the planet, it was held up as a model country to other Islamic states to follow, ...fast forward, Turkey under this Sultan wannabe has the worse record in the World for jailing journalists, anyone who dare criticize him etc etc , a dictator no more no less, he is supported by the poor illiterate Turks.all the time hiding behind Islam, did I forget to mention the one thousand room Palace he had build for himself, and his family's dodgy dealings with Isis....give him enough rope and like other dictators in History he will hang himself.

"Termites Dream" says:
"It is high time for the West to wake up and take Ankara to task"
Correct - in another thread I said: "where is the Greek Navy when we need them?"
Not only is the EU not interested in Turkey's gunboat diplomacy in the Cyprus gas fields, neither is the UN Secretary General
who said the solution lies in a solution to the Cyprob. Not very helpful when you consider what the RoC pays out every year
to keep the UN Peace-keeping force on the Island!

The man has a plan ................. to win his next term in office! Unfortunately, until he achieves this his actions will probably only become more bizarre & dictatorial!

The "man" has made his stand & I can't see him backing down without losing face ........... then again, I can't see the Americans standing by while one of their companies gets bullied in the Med, especially with Trump in charge! Time will tell though ..............
