Maybe 'A Deal' wasn't a deal after all?

Whatever your political persuasion, defend your corner here. All we ask is that you voice YOUR opinion, rather than just post a link to a half-hour youtube video. Politics can get a bit lively, and if you prefer a less combative debate, please post in the Politics for Moderates section instead.

What has that got to do with anything? I don't think anybody could look at Brexit and regard it as a success. It's too early to say whether it is good or bad for Britain. In 10, 20 years time, if other member states look at Britain and see a powerhouse, then yes, it would convince some people to go it alone.

But if they see a third rate economic distaster, I doubt they will be so keen.

I would love the former to come true. I sincerely hope the latter doesn't. But like everything else to do with Brexit, nobody really knows.

Yeah, Dominic, but indications would have you betting more on economic disaster, than an economic powerhouse.
