As somebody on Twitter said, if Tom Watson thought Labour were going to win the general election there is no way he would have stepped down now.

Watson has had issues with the child sex allegations but I think he was happy to ride them out. The problem is probably that the Party is run by two Marxists and is very divided as a result. The Leadership has limited support from their own MP's and limited support in the country. Corbyn's ratings are very poor.

When all of Corbyn's conditions were met he could not even whip his own MP's to vote for an bad can it get.
