Re: Digital Camera

Spot on Jules, I have no eye for anything. Seriously! Clothes, home decor, views, pics.........you name it! Give me a set of accounts any day! Come to think of it, I'm not so bright at them any more  the little grey cells ain't what they used to be! My friend Sue, with whom I run the bookshop, ...

Re: Digital Camera

Ha ha! Looks just like the one I have Jules! Unfortunately, unlike you I have no idea of what most of the knobs, twists and dials are for! I'm just a point and click merchant I'm afraid! And it's pretty redundant now, most pics are on the iPad

Re: Theft from your baggage

Great thanks Mark! We now have one zipped case and one hard sided case. Hopefully, the zipped case will be replaced with another hard sided case before our April trip. Will never buy zipped cases again, tho the hard sided cases seem pretty rare wherever I've looked both Uk and Cyprus and damned expe...

Re: Theft from your baggage

"......My padlock is padlocked in one place, so the zipper cannot be moved. The case can never be resealed if it's been tampered with." But does that stop anyone actually opening the zip FF?? I ask as on our last trip to UK I left the keys to the padlocks on the desk in the room in Ipswich...

Re: Holiday Insurance.

You say you don't need medical cover as you can just go to the hospital. But surely you would have to pay for that if it's not covered by insurance?

Re: Brexit

Thanks for that clarification Jim, so now I'm puzzled. How come there are all these people without travel insurance?? I've just checked on gov.uk and whilst they don't list all the categories of people who do need visas to enter the UK, the group of people who don't need them looks pretty restrictiv...

Re: Brexit

I think airlines allow pregnant women to fly til quite late into the pregnancy, something like 30 odd weeks, but shorter if it's a multiple birth. It crossed my mind though if she can't pay the bill in the UK how on earth was she going to pay it in America as the article said she had flown to Americ...

Y'know, I've always respected Keith's posts on these forums, but nothing has ever convinced me that he was sooooo right as the psycho babble on this thread. Coven comes to mind, although I'm sure they would make exceptions for the men involved!!

Re: Decision

I've always thought Diane Abbot was nothing less than a joke. I can honestly count on one hand I think the sensible points I've ever heard her make. She has one aim in life, turning everything into a racist issue. Hypocritical to the nth degree, decrying Grammar schools whilst sending her children t...
