Re: Update on Ruby....

Jules So sorry to hear about Ruby. Your consolation is that you gave her a happy, loving home for so many years, and she loved you too. It's hard to imagine what sort of life, if any, she would have had if you hadn't found her and taken her in. She was a very lucky Cypriot dog to have your care and ...

One reason why I have just had a Dash Cam installed in my car. A God send at times like this.

Re: Posting in the Politics Section - a reminder

I have benefitted many times in the past from P.M.s, some with advice, some with understanding, and some replying to mine in a positive manner. I think sometimes we can form an empathy with another member/members. In that case things posted in a P.M. are not necessarily for everyone to read. I see n...

Re: Nicola Sturgeon Hanging On!

My OH was a' Bobby on the beat', he maintains to this day that it is the best way to police the UK. As has been said, he knew the people on his beat, he had his ear to the ground, knew the criminal element, and where he could go for information. I, and probably many of my generation was told as a ch...

Re: Posting in the Politics Section - a reminder

It's simple really, if someone signs a post with their names, presumably they don't mind being addressed as such. If they do not, then yes, even if YOU know who they are privately, one shouldn't disclose it. Most of us have been sent P.M.s where posters have signed their names, but they do not on an...

Re: Awful sound quality on smart TV

Hi Jim

Thanks for the info. I'm sorry I haven't replied before, but to be honest I didn't see your post until yesterday.

This may well be the answer to my problem, I'll let you know. I'm fine thanks, and hope this finds you well also.

Thanks again

Re: BREXIT negotiations re UK citizens in the EU and EU citizens in the UK

I still fail to understand why we have so many EU rules and regulations regarding trade agreements, when nearly everything we buy is made in China.

Can anyone explain please ?

Dee As you might remember, I too am a lover of foxes, indeed any animal. They are on this planet with just as much right as the human animal. Without going on the old for/against roundabout again, everyone on here has their own view, I may not agree with you, but I would defend your right to say it,...

Re: Britain faces up to Brexit (source: Economist)

Why do people keep knocking Mrs May ? She didn't turn tail and run when Brexit was voted for. The coward Cameron did, if he'd had the b..... to man up and do the job, maybe then some of the male posters might have been happier !
