Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

This is becoming tedious.. The conclusion that she has dual nationality was arrived at by the Supreme Court. It was not determined by Sadiq Khan, Boris Johnson or any other member of the Government. So the Court held that stripping her of Uk citizenship would not make her stateless since she held t...

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

Poppy The decision was political to please the mob and it won't be the first time a minister has ignored legal advice and made a decision to please the flog em, hang em brigade. So not a silly statement, just an honest one. Gerryg It is against Internation Law to make a person stateless and the UK h...

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

I believe it's everything to do with the Bangladeshi government whether a person is one of their citizens or not. The recent BBC report stated the Supreme Court refused her entry to the UK to appeal due to Security Issues and she has to appeal from Syria which is not possible due to the refusal of t...

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

The UK has not breached international law by removing citizenship from her, since she has not been made stateless. It was held by the Supreme Court that she held dual nationality (Bangledesh) through her parents. Not that its really relevant in the light of the above but if she was tried in the Uk ...

Jewellers

I know this is a long shot but here we go. There used to be a Jewellers on the front of the Liminara Complex opposite The Alexander The Great Hotel. Over the years I bought a number of items from there and called one day only to find it shut down and suffering from fire damage. I'm just enquiring to...

Re: Probate Costs?

I was hit with probate when my first wife died. We had just moved and had bought a car in the her name. It took about a year to get the vehicle out of bond and process the paperwork plus around C£1,000 lawyers fees. There was also the cost of bond storage which I can't remember the exact figure but ...

Usually they flare off when they lose compression , they are having trouble maintaining the compressors as the spares come from Canada and the States.

I use it regularly and filled up there the other day. It was a lot cheaper than in the town. I don't think it's been there that long, I thought about 18 months.

We live directly under the flight path and have watched the helicopters plus two fixed wing planes flying backwards and forwards since late afternoon, just hope everyone is safe.

Re: Average water usage and swimming pool evaporation

Our pool area is being renovated an has been standing for eight weeks and we've lost aboiut 17 cubic metres of water. The pool area is 51 square metres and the level has dropped about 33 centimetres which works out at just over 2 cubicmetres per week on a 11 X 5 pool.

Bromerz The only Grouse I've ever seen is on a bottle so must take your word for it. They are amusing as we get families of them dashing up the track infront of our car.. Another one is Kamelians (spelling) crossing the track. Sometimes we're sat for 10 minutes while they cross the track but the big...
