Belated Happy Birthday to you, Dominic, and thanks for all postings.......

Our current wooden fence is almost 20 years old and needs replacing. It has been repaired and repainted over the years but has really come to the end of its life.

Recommendations for someone to take away the old fence, and replace with a new one would be gratefully received.

The requirements to change from an MEU1 to an MUKW3 are, I believe, the same as were originally in place for a move from MEU1 to MEU3 (i.e. 5 yrs proof of residency, bills etc.). The move from an MEU3 to an MUKW3 only, I believe, only require a completed application form and the original with copies...

They remove the meter and seal the supply pipe. To take water from the supply pipe after this constitutes theft. If the premises seems occupied they will check from time to time that the supply pipe seal has not been tampered with.

Has anyone else received fairly regular requests by email from, supposedly Hellenic Bank, asking us to validate our personal details? We've assumed it's a scam and have deleted them, but just thought I'd ask as we've received two this week.

My daughter visited Jumbo's when she came over in June and said she thought she was going to die of plastic poisoning!! I always find something to buy.....

Nice picture. Glad we're here though.... I wore fleecy socks last night, and we've been talking about getting the winter clothes out very soon, and putting the electric blanket on!

We also find Partymania expensive although their products are good. Euromania in Geriskipou have lots of cards at reasonable prices and a lot of the charity shops sell them too.

When my wife was unable to stand in the shower we bought a three legged, triangular shaped stool from Amazon DE for our small shower cubicle. It worked very well as it slotted into the corner leaving quite a lot of space.

We recently watched Payback, a six part series. IOHO, very good.

Has anyone heard what's the latest with regard to the crematorium. We've been keeping an eye on the Ayia Varvara industrial estate, where it was reportedly going to be constructed, but can't see any work being carried out......

Like you, Lincoln, we have a gas hob. When we had our solar panels installed we were tempted to go all electric. Now glad that we didn't. There have been times in the past when our power cuts have been long. Having the hob meant we could boil a kettle and cook a meal......

We had ours restored two weeks ago by Linda's Garage next to Lidl off the roundabout towards Mesogi. Took about half an hour and cost €50. We had tried doing it ourselves with several compounds but the result weren't particularly impressive and they soon reverted to the foggy state.

We still buy from Amazon DE but wait until we need a number of items with a cost of a couple of hundred Euros. We then place the order and pay for expedited delivery. This costs maybe 40 Euros and the goods come by courier within a couple of days.
