Re: Rental agents

Well, like owning a car without living in CY, there's another illegal thing.

Just looked on Holiday Lettings and it says "5,683 Holiday homes"! Maybe there are a similar number on other sites and/or privately advertised, so only 10K illegals!!

Re: 'Important' Email Messages

Outlook han't gone anywhere. It is still very much an integral part of Office. It was Outlook Express that no longer exists. Maybe there was a confusion? Good old MS, they had ... Outlook as part of MS Office so they then made Outlook Express a slightly slimmed down (and free) version of Outlook th...

Well, we bought our first car on a V97 plate (remember them??) duty free; then in about 2000 (?) we swapped to a duty paid car (with a HEM plate) .... so it looks like we've been owning illegally for coming up to 18 years now!

Re: Message On Laptop - UI failed to load.

Hi Jackie

Glad you sorted it yourself - I got fed up with avast and it's annoying pop-ups and problems so, I uninstalled it and put on Bit Defender (free) which currently is the best free AV in the latest Which magazine.

We own a house in Tala which we use for holidays only - we have never lived in CY We imported a car in 2013 and registered it with the relevant authorities using our Tala address without problem...

PaphosAL wrote: Fri Jan 05, 2018 4:00 pm It might be worth Jenny consulting with Computer SOS to see if they can replace the existing 32GB HDD with a new 2.5in 320GB hard drive.
If it's the same machine as the one in the MSE discussion, then the HDD is somehow fixed and swapping isn't possible. Must be worth asking though!

Airport parking

I know it's been asked several times before, sorry, but just asking for the latest news ... :)

If someone takes our car to Paphos airport on a Tuesday evening in April and then we arrive on Wednesday evening to collect it, what will the charge be??
Any what unforeseen problems might there be??

Had anyone else just started to pay costs for statements & mailing costs at the BoC ? I just logged into my BoC on line account to check ... no statement or mailing costs. We've been charged 3c defence charge (they used to send us a form to opt out, but they don't any more!) and have received 1...

Anarita John, you don't need speedy boarding for the fast track at Manchester. Just go to the Airport website and you can buy passes for £7.50 for two, I've used it a couple of times recently. Have to agree, well worth it. I'm not sure it's 'well worth it' at all :D We took 90 minutes to get throug...
