No, it will not as the area where I found the Citrines they missed.
Thanks for your interest anyhow. A lot of trivial posts on here makes me wonder what people like to read these days....

Lovely views of the old town which one gets only with a drone specially when the speed is like that. Impressive the dominant position of the Muse you can see( at 2.30 m). I wonder what building was there in old Roman times....

22c in our house with just the 1 aircon unit, set at 23c heating the whole downstairs. Our LG invertor units are brilliant and consume very little electricity for both heating or cooling. So far it has been the mildest winter we have experienced in Cyprus and the driest since the early noughties. I...

Interesting that nobody wears citrine jewelry.... it is and was very popular in Germany though. Untreated citrines are quite expensive nowadays.

Citrine in Cyprus

The recent articles and drone films from Dominic, showing the progress of the Paphos to Polis highway, gave me the idea of doing some more research on Wikipedia about the lovely Citrines I found in the area before they started with heavy machinery... "Citrine is a variety of quartz whose color ...

Nice to see all the photo-voltaic solar modules on the last image, installed mainly from Green Air Paphos recently. Hopefully the restaurant business is not too long interrupted and have access again when the season starts at Easter in May.

Re: New Motorway Update - The Movie

Very nice drone video, Thank you Dominic. It shows that it is still a long way to completion. Sure very difficult to film between the tunnel and Stroumpi, as the range of the drone is not endless and there are only limited access tracks to the fields and vineyards, I believe...specially in Winter Max

Re: Paphos - Polis Motorway Update - January 2024

I believe that the "tunnel" one can see on picture 5 (Motorway crossing) is also a drain for the little river which runs near that farm. It is most of the year dry, but in rainy times at can be a torrent. In that riverbed I was many times searching for minerals and found lovely crystals li...

Re: Aphrodite's Bridge

If you follow Kitchener's map from 1885, there was only one track coming down from Pano Archimandrita to that little bridge and continue over the hills towards Anoyira, quite away from the Roman road. (center map)

The earthquake was felt in areas of the Paphos District. https://in-cyprus.philenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/image-1-32.jpg https://in-cyprus.philenews.com/local/earthquake-felt-in-cyprus/ Remains the question why does it need such a drastic image... when it was far out in the sea.......

I had issue with back pain in the past and another video from this guy helped me a lot, so I believe he knows what he is talking....

Back to the bridge. Here a image from Kitchener's map 1885 showing that the only road towards Paphos from Limassol was then via the hills ( and the modern settlement of Aphrodite Hills now) https://up.picr.de/46858125hg.jpg It remains the question how vehicles could cross the Cha-Potami river when t...

Re: Aphrodite's Bridge

Could this bridge have replaced a medieval one that might of been there back in the day? Well, part of an old Roman road from Limassol to Palaepaphos (Kouklia) one can still see and use when you drive from Alektora village (Limassol district) towards Aphrodite hills via the surrounding hills with a...
