Re: British husband to face murder charges after all

Doctors have helped people over the final hurdle for 100s of years, and continue to do so. Having responsible legislation would legalise this and build in the necessary checks and balances.

Re: British husband to face murder charges after all

Whilst I am a supporter of mercy killing, I do realise that Cyprus, along with most countries including the UK, do not Recognise this in law. If Mr Hunter's story is true then I have great sympathy with him. However, he planned to kill his wife and then carried out his plan. That in law is murder, a...

Re: Paphos Old Town Walking Tour - Part 1

Good video. I love walking around the old town in the area you have shown. In the evenings it is full of people with lots of street cafes open etc.

I think, but may be wrong, that the posts you suggest are there to hold up the market roof are actually street lamps.

Prescription charges

Before I go to my usual pharmacy and possibly cause an argument, I thought I had better seek views from you good people. Recently I went to my pharmacy to get my usual prescription. Usually I just pay what they ask and get on with my day. However, I had need to check my Gesy beneficiary record and n...

An excellent programme. Unfortunately the programme length meant that it had to skim the surface of a very complex situation.

You select your parking spot by parking in it. Then you pay, much as you do now.

Yes Aargent, that was indeed him. He still played although arthritis reduced his ability and prevented him being in bands. I was only chatting to him on Monday. A nice guy and a sad loss.

Re: Cyprus Driving

I enjoy driving in Cyprus, much more than driving in the UK. I think people have the view that the Cypriots should drive like the British. However, the fact is they drive like Cypriots drive. It's very easy to criticise them in the "certain knowledge" that the British way is always the bes...

Re: Induction Hobs and Phase 3 electricity

For information, if you look at your electricity bill you will see an entry called Load Ent./Fuse. Its on top left section under your account number. Mine says 30 AMP 3-ph, which means I have 3-phase. If yours says xx AMP 1-ph, then you have single phase.

Re: The Queen’s state funeral.

I question the wisdom of having a lavish state funeral, paid for by the tax payer, at a time when so many people are having difficulties making ends meet. I would have thought a simpler affair would be more in tune with today's UK.

Re: Crown Resorts Horizon Hotel Update 2

Not for the owners of the hotel it wouldn't. Very lucrative. My neighbours are asylum seekers from Syria. They seem decent folks. The Africans that have moved into our village seem polite and don't cause any trouble. Quite a few of them have jobs now in Paps, Garden of Eden etc. I look at it that ma...
