Re: Tax form 2019
We sent our email to Ms Michael on 29 August 2019 and (despite a follow-up prompt) received neither a reply nor acknowledgement. We've just sent it again. Fingers crossed. Just got a reply with attached official documents for both of us stating we are exempt from GESY taxation for 4 years. 55 minute...

Re: Beauty Shop closing down
The notice that they're closing down has been on the entrance door for quite some time now. It will be a shame to see them close down but I suspect other outlets will open in the fullness of time. There are a lot of younger ex-pats moving over......

Re: Rhuematologist recommendation
I'm also sticking with him, like Sadie, as he's made the correct diagnosis and acted very promptly, sending me for lots of tests. His treatment to date has got me my life back after months of lying on the bed in pain. I find it strange that I'm defending him as I felt similarly to mike strand 2 whe...

Re: Surgeon for prolapsed disc
A friend, who has just arrived to live here permanently, has been suffering from a prolapsed disc for at least 4 months. She had been receiving treatment in the UK but her surgeon was reluctant to operate due to the amount of inflammation she has. She also received some physio from a chiropractor a...

We were at our rheumatologist's clinic this morning and one of the doctor's came out and told a patient to put a mask on and, yes, he was wearing a chin mask!

Blackfriars Wood Dye
Many years ago One Stop used to stock Blackfriars wood dye in a variety of colours. We bought the Light Oak and Teak and mixed them together, and until recently that was all we needed to keep our front door looking good. We can't seem to find it anywhere in Paphos now so if anyone comes across it I'...

Re: MRI facilities
Last week I had an MRI at the Paphos Diagnostic Centre under Gesy for €10\ I waited around 2 weeks for the appointment. Results available within 10 working days. Lovely staff there, very welcoming. George Vorkas is also good, have used him several times in the past. only privately and the results ar...

Re: MRI Payment via Gesy?
Thank you, we have no objection to paying at all, but it caught us on the hop at the clinic as we had not been advised beforehand.
However, the manager of the clinic was more than happy to receive cash!

MRI Payment via Gesy?
I'm going for an MRI later this month. The doctor I am registered with is under Gesy. However I have heard that under certain conditions the patient has to pay a proportion of the cost towards certain procedures. For example I recently had to pay towards the cost of hiring an operating theatre at a ...

MEU1 required for holiday home?
If you have a holiday home here in Cyprus, and spend your 'allowed' time in it each year, but are resident in the UK, will you need an MEU1 when Brexit finally occurs?
