How many lire’s per hour.......
Looking to install a water feature in th3 garden. Not the fountain type, but more the falling through stones type. The adverts for a submersible water pump quote figure like 180/ 200 litre per hour (Saw a 1000 l/h this morning in Begonia Gardens, but I think that this is way too much.) Does anyone k...

M & S Sausages are hard to beat.
They have the Cumberland variety, and also Chipolata. A tad pricey, but well worth it. ( L’Oreal)

Re: Three dogs with homes to go to stolen from Paphos shelter, public asked to help
I am absolutely incandescent about this. This should NOT happen. What can be done. Sadly too late for these dogs, but: What are the obstacles to a continuous electricity supply to drive a cctv system.? (Plus an alarm) Part of the Paws package, having 2 paws dogs of our own, is the neutering of stray...

Re: Very poor tv reception tonight
@afj
Jenny...Holitec, my supplier had a word with his tech support people, since when the reception has improved.
Still a bit of occasional freezing, but nothing like it was before.
Interesting comment about raising the box on pencils.
I’ve dug out 2 HB versions to test it out

Very poor tv reception tonight
We’re experiencing bad freezing on quite a number of channels this evening. The maximum continuous tv is around 5 seconds.
Have emailed the supplier, but no response so far.
For us, it impacts the Drama Channel 78, and channel 52, Virgin 2
Given up and gon to bed, annoyed

Re: Einhell Power Tools
@Uncle D. I have both einhall and Lidl ( parkside) Power tools. Einhall are very good quality from Germany. The Anavargos diy place carry good stocks. Lidl’s Parkside range is excellent. Their new 20volt range is a good choice, and they carry stock for most of the year. They are also German made Can...

Do I need a VPN?
Like most people, I’m bombarded by adverts trying to sell me a vpn.
Do I need one ? What would it give me, that I don’t have now ( peace of mind/ security ?)
Critically, I take iptv services from a well respected supplier on this board. Would having a vpn impact on the reception

Has Anastasiades strategy been the right one?
Lockdown is being relaxed in the UK. Germany is ahead, and were all looking to see if there is a potential for a spike in infections. As someone who has lost a young relative in the UK, I’m very aware of the difference in numbers between Cyprus and the UK. The Presidents lockdown strategy had been a...

Re: Plane carrying medical equipment to Cyprus diverted after Turkey refuses entry in its airspace
Let us understand that this is a Turkey/ Cyprus issue, not a north / south issue. Let’s no5 penalise the North in retaliation for what Turkey has done,
However, we will have long memories on 5his one.
Our citizens were put to an unnecessary risk

Re: Treasury considering freeze on pensions and public sector pay to cover coronavirus bill
Interesting use of the word ‘ considering’ This will happen. What really annoys me is that the retiree group has paid it’s NIC contributions all their lives for ‘whippersnappers‘ to tell us that Their need is greater than ours Précis: get the old folks to pay into the system , but restrict their ben...

Hi Jim. Received 2 parcels from Amazon today, which have taken 6 weeks from ordering. In the meantime, my daughter sent me a pic of the Royal Mail warehouse in the UK backlog currently held because of Covid. You could be forgiven for thinking that the Photo was of aChristmas Card backlog at Larnaca ...

Speaking as someone cast adrift with a broken ankle from the orthopaedic out patients clinic at the General Hospital, , by the onset of the coved problem, I was fortunate enough to be picked up by the Orthopaedic specialist at Blue Cross under the Gesy scheme with private health care. To be frank, t...
