What an indictment on our society when what should be normal behaviour is praised for being out of the ordinary.

Re: Lidl
Yes, it must be company policy, as they did this at Lidl, Polis Rd last Monday. I like the new layout, except that milk/ dairy products etc are now on the back wall of the shop. It seems a long way if you're only buying some milk! Dee The milk and dairy used to be across the entire back wall before...

Re: Sturgeon Moon tonight
I thought it was a harvest moon, but apparently that is not till 1 October, being the closest full moon to the autumn equinox of 22 Sept. The August full moon is called the Sturgeon moon because sturgeon were traditionally caught in the Great Lakes during the full moon in August. Isn't Mr Google cle...

I phoned the main office on Mon and was given an appointment for the following Monday.
I suspect the delay between phone call and appointment depends on what service you want, whether motor vehicle, health or whatever.

Re: We should see seaweed as a ???blessing not a curse?????
In Guernsey, seaweed (or vraic as it is known there) has been collected for hundreds of years to use as fertiliser on the fields.
