Re: HP ink cartridges
Look on the HP support site. There is usually software you can download which makes it ignore it! I don't use the HP ink cartridges, but the generic ones at a fraction of the price which I got from UK. However I might need a rethink with Brexit and duties. Carteidge world will take your old ones and...

Re: Add name to Title deeds
That is what I said. If you are not in Cyprus you will need a lawyer, but they shouldn't need power of attorney. You sign something online that gives them permission to act on your behalf. They can send any documentation via email. You sign, scan and send back. At least that's what I did. If you are...

Re: Do we need a TIN ??
Its €19500 but even under that you have to declare it. You do have to register to get the TIN, so you can complete online. I am not sure if the government buildings are open during lockdown. They weren't on the last lockdown. You could always visit. We got nowhere and had to employ an accountant.

Re: Add name to Title deeds
You do need a lawyer but not power of attorney. Everything can be done by sending forms over the net. I did this when selling in UK. I used my UK solicitor and we communicated by email. All went through O.K.

Re: Cyprus seeks Israel Vaccine help
I tried to phone 1474 yesterday. It rang for 11 mins at 8am. Telling me I would be attended to. Then a voice said I was first in the queue. Then it cut off! I eventually after trying several times, rang the GP. He told me that the portal was also full at 8a,m. I rang the hospital the lady said they ...

Dominic is correct. You can walk within 500m of your residence WITHOUT an sms. You can go out for up to 3 hrs WITH an sms for dog walking.

I read on the Government customs site only yesterday that any items that were in transit from UK at 31st December 2020 would not be liable for duties when they arrive in Cyprus after 1/1/2021.

Re: Vaccination portal
I telephoned 1474 yesterday. The first thing they want to know is, are you over 80? Are you in GESY? The first vaccinations have been used. There are more expected on Monday. You cannot register for an appointment, as such, you have to ring, make sure you know what days and time you are free. They w...

I can't speak for the effectiveness but you can but birds of prey on a stick that swoop up and down on the wind. We just rolled up wire mesh in uneven piles when we had them. They didn't like that. We have moved so I don't know if they returned or not.

Caritas feed the poor. Also the Anglican church help local people. There are several restaurants offering free meals to the needy. I don't know if the Greek orthodox church do something similar. The church of christian fellowship international on Adanantiou korai were doing free meals too. People do...

There is a pet shop come groomer somewhere in Geriskipou that sells horsey stuff, but I can't recall the name, but they do have smaller items.

Re: Nationwide closing accounts,
I don't think it is a relatively sudden decision. It has already happened with some banks. They may not have disclosed it before but it had to be a possibility, a possibility they now are gearing up to put into practice. As you say, the notice period is very small, considering that Covid 19, as disr...

Nationwide closing accounts,
Just seen on MSE (money saving experts) that Nationwide have contacted expats in Italy and the Nederlands to say their accounts are closing from 1/1/2021. No plans for other countries at the moment. They are not the only ones! I don't know if they will accept a relatives address for the requirement ...
