Re: Pool duck meets friend (animal story)

Hiya! You are lucky - I love ducks and they are the things (along with daffodils growing on roundabouts) that I miss most about the UK. I think Donald is probably a chap, incidentally. Paphos Zoo have ducks, and have done for many years. It might be a good idea to give them a call to see if they cou...

Lidl are selling mattresses this week, to order in the store and they will deliver. Prices look reasonable.

Re: General Hospital

I don't think it's a case of Ex-Pats disrespecting their adopted country. Many of the patients are Cypriot and you can bet they are just as disappointed. Some people will have waited months to get their appointments. A phone call to reschedule would have been appreciated. Absolutely Kansas. That wa...

Re: General Hospital

It's a public holiday so of course they close - they're Govt employees! Obviously A&E stays open regardless. Of course? ........ if they knew they wouldn't be working then Of Course they shouldn't be booking in appointments and issuing requests for tests on that day. If they had done this in er...

General Hospital

Whilst I am aware that most Government employees are off work today I hadn't heard from the orthopaedic dept. to cancel my appointment or x-rays etc. so went along as usual. The place is deserted - nobody to deal with the hundreds of lost (and poorly!) souls wondering why they can't see the doctor -...

Re: Britain’s Greatest Comedian

My vote is not on the list: Tommy Handley. He died keeping the UK laughing in its worst hours. Some of the catch-phrases are still used today. ITMA followed the adventures of Tommy Handley as he undertook a series of (fictional) bizarre jobs that involved working with strange characters. The first ...

Re: Tick & Flea TABLET for cat

I buy a tablet for my dogs to use once every three months. t is called Bravecto and I believe it is also available for cats. It resembles an oxo cube and animals find it pleasant tasting. You can crumble it into the food easily. I buy mine from Yiannis Kyriakou opposite Papantoniou in Chlorakas. It ...

Re: Outside table and chairs

We have always found Paphos Homemarket a very good place to buy good quality garden furniture. In the basement they have a vast range for different budgets and many special offers for sets of furniture. Ours has lasted very well even in the appalling recent weather. We were pleased to discover that ...

The title of this thread makes no sense whatsoever. I am from Tipperary but I should imagine that if I stood underneath the Angel of the North and shouted Why-Aye for a bit then it would. I don't think I will.

Andrea at her pretty little shop next to Petzstuff in Chlorakas. Her nails are always beautiful - over Christmas she gave me a beautiful set of cherry red nails with christmas tree and lights design and four weeks later they are still unchipped and shiny.

Good morning everyone! I am so sorry not to have commented before now -the quiz took a little longer than I expected and I had to rush off directly afterwards.
