Interesting your comment re lifeguard setting up and being on station until the end of the month. We went past Potima Bay yesterday at around mid-day and no sign of a lifeguard. And that's one of the most dangerous areas of coast!

Nick at East London Sausage Company's smoked or plain back bacon is the best we have tasted since we been here. Better imho than Jim Peck which is still quite good. I agree. What's odd about the shop these days is that there's virtually nothing else to buy on the meat counter from apart from bacon ...

I've searched Paphos high and low for decent bacon, including all the supermarkets, butchers etc. and the best I've found is at East London Sausage Co. Theirs is the only one that isn't salty or bland. I find Cypriot bacon tasteless.

Go and see the lady in Chloraka. She will sell you two chemicals which you mix together and put down every plug hole and toilet. We do this twice a year and have not had any roaches in our house since. About five years ago had a slight problem with roaches in the house. They were coming up the plug...
