Re: Chronic lower back pain relief

General Practitioners are mostly not trained to prescribe natural/herbal medicines as their training has been for using manufactured drugs, according to my wife who was a senior nurse. But they should be trained to rule out causes for which medication (or medication alone) isn´t suitable like e. g....

Re: Chronic lower back pain relief

Well, until you try it, you'll never know, will you? And at £10 or so for a jar you're not going to lose a lifetime's savings finding out. I tried them on account of Jackie's recommendation on Paphos Life and they work brilliantly for me. If you try them and they don't work, you've wasted £10. Wife...

The fact that there are PCR tests for influenza as well doesn´t mean a test screening for the coronavirus will be falsely positive if the sample is actually positive for influeza "only".

The venues include five hospitals: German Oncology Centre, Mediterranean, and Ygeia, in Limassol, and Areteio and American Medical Centre in Nicosia. Both the German Oncology Center and the American ;edical Center denied it though: https://in-cyprus.philenews.com/american-medical-center-denies-anno...

Re: Cashback at the Supermarket

Was very surprised on a visit to Germany at how many outlets accepted cash only That´s because the retail margins in Germany are very small so that many smaller businesses avoid the credit card fees. In Germany the motto is "Geiz ist geil" which means something like stingyness is cool. Th...

Re: Solar panels on all our houses

Jeba, sorry do not know if our inverter can deal with more panels. If we needed more, we would look at the most cost effective way, which, if we needed a new inverter, might be to have a solar swimming pool pump, which would save us at least 8 units a day. From a very brief google search, our inver...

It is quite a lengthy business assembling the necessary paperwork and getting the permissions needed.
I simply gave my supplier power of attorney to do the paperwork for me. It had to be stamped by the mayor´s office but that was all I had to do.

Is there an international institution / court which has authority to rule non the issue? How much of a problem will BoJo´s new law create in practice? And for who (only for Ireland / Northern Ireland)?

Re: PV system

Adjusted & now producing 20kWh a day. Is that a 4kWp system? You should produce at least 5 kWh/day pro installed KW's with your PV system, even with this high temperatures at the moment. Max My system is producing almost exactly that. Which is consistently about 5% less than in previous years.

I´m looking for a nice restaurant in the mountains which would allow me to have my dog with me (not indoors). Any recommendations?

My German car insurance offered a so-called "Mallorca policy" which provides insurance cover for rental cars abroad for very cheap (I think € 30 for the whole year, but limited to stays of not more than a few weeks). Don´t you have an equivalent in the UK?

Re: European Car rental ideas.

I´d check for websites that act like car rental brokers like this German one: https://www.billiger-mietwagen.de/reser ... 91df3f2d11.
There a rental from Brussels to Basel from e.g. 15.9. until 23.9 starts from € 880. I´m sure there will be English rental sites.

Many houses in CY have rising damp problems, That is one of the most mindboggling / annoying things about Cyprus. I recently had a construction engineer check the reason for the dampness in the walls of the house I´m renting and he said they saved the € 150 to put dampproofing in place when they bu...
