Re: Prime minister

Jim G, no change there then. 1) I don't hate teachers, stop putting words in my mouth. Having worked alongside them for thirteen years and seen how they treat anyone who is not a teacher, I just have little respect for them. Having dealt with ISOP for the last 6 years I see nothing has changed, quit...

Re: Prime minister

Varky , I'm intrigued, yet again you say that she cried for herself. Please explain why a PM crying for every distressed group in the UK throughout their tenure helps anyone?? It's irrelevant. Grief is a personal emotion, some show it, some don't. Why in heavens name does it matter! A PM crying over...

Re: Ikea opening in Limassol?

Does anyone know if this is the system, going to Nicosia to order goods and then collecting them from Limassol??

Can goods not be ordered in Limassol from the catalogue and then collected there at a later date???

"Interesting that Theresa May was in tears at her own loss, but never cried for Grenfell victims, the 4m kids under the poverty level, the handicapped who are worse off with cuts, the immigrants from the Caribbean she caused untold anguish to ... Tears of self-sympathy" What absolute tosh....

Re: Genealogy

No evidence to prove this Mr blobby, but I'm very dubious about all of these genealogy sites. Think their prime motive is making money. Whether the results they supply provide the historical info would be interesting to know!!

Been many times, mostly when my granddaughter was younger, when we both loved it, but hey, a lofty 14 and mini golf?? Sadly a no no :( :(

Re: Moans and groans.

Totally agree. All I need to remember here is to either put my rubbish in the communal bin or make sure it's in my cupboard at the front of my house. Simples. When I'm in the UK I don't have a clue in which bin I'm supposed to be depositing the rubbish. Lord knows how they all remember on a week to ...

Re: Cyprus will miss its environmental targets for 2020 and 2030

Can't be only me who thinks this is abominably disgraceful?? I really don't understand the litter problem here - how hard is it to put stuff either in the bins, there are plenty of them, or take stuff to the allocated disposal centres??? Should be even easier for the government to sort out sensible ...

Re: Schools` exam results

Would question your comment 'children at private schools do not normally pay for additional lessons' Many do Lloyd, particularly Chinese and Russian students. Agree it's not on the same level as indigenous Cypriot schools where they are virtually compulsive, but they do happen, and it's just as lucr...

Completely agree Lloyd, I do wonder re the costs every time I watch the programme. Presumably, they are met somehow, somewhere, possibly by the TV production team, who knows? As you say, still a lovely programme to watch and very impressive work by those involved, which is what astounds me personall...

So true Jeanne, I'm staggered at the level of expertise on the programme, and totally impressed by the younger artisans as well as those more experienced.
