Re: Driving licence medical.

Our GP Darrow did a driving licence medical (if you could call it that) it was sufficient to get my DL renewed with no problems, the GESY GP at the Evangelismos would not though do this for me, so I changed GPs, it was easy enough to do, there was no charge for the Medical certificate.. Lloyd, some...

Re: Lidl return without receipt

They will not accept anything back without a receipt at the store, but I think you can take it up with their head office.

Re: Internet/ mobile phone recommendations or advice

Does CYTA still require a landline, not suitable for a lot of people, or can they do Wifi. I got rid of the house phone with them last year as we use mobiles, but we have internet, hope that answers your question Actually it doesn't, is your router still connected to a landline ? I guess it is

Re: Internet/ mobile phone recommendations or advice

I cant praise cyta enough for their service, when ever Ive had a problem, their people have gone out of their way to sort it out, they take as much time as needed to talk you through, especially a tech thicko like me, then they have even called me back later in the day to make sure all was well, I d...

Re: Snouts in the trough

I can assure you that my wife and I had free upgrades on British Airways about 1990. We had a BA connection from Geneva to London, which was late and we arrived at LHR about five minutes before our flight to JFK was due to take off. There were two or three other passengers in the same boat. Apparen...

Re: Paphos Police operation to combat traffic violations

HIC, you seem to be a tad anti British these days! To me it seems a bit unfair to compare the UK's need for greater survellience measures with Cyprus's more easy going nature.. Cyprus is a small island, with a comparatively small population, which though it does have its own security problems,it do...

Re: Snouts in the trough

Flown to the states many times with USA airlines and Virgin Atlantic, and while waiting in the departure gate, if they have spare places in business they would come out and ask if anyone would like to upgrade for a sum of money, the nearer the flight take off, the less they would ask, I remember onc...

I only buy or did buy on Amazon items that are not readily available locally. I also use Amazon DE the shipping is slight...

Re: Snouts in the trough

It may not be as bad as you think! A goodly number of years ago when the real Swissair flew to Larnaca from Geneva, I was firmly ensconced in a business class seat when the president of the Republic, Glafcos Clerides, came on board with his entourage of about eight persons. Like me, he sat in busin...
