Re: Who will be the Next P. M.?

Anyone know where Boris Johnson has been since he "resigned" or was that "pushed" by his own party members? Last I heard, other than sunning himself on holiday - he's been receiving 1000s of Dollars in gratuities for speeches. More partying, but at least it's not at the expense o...

Re: UK Politics: Truss Resigns

Say what you will about Boris, he delivered Brexit, i.e. carried out the will of the majority of voters, when two other PMs failed to do so. He also delivered the vaccine roll out better than many other world leaders. Yes, he lied about party gate, so did Starmer, he just got away with it. Politici...

As a reminder of Boris and his misdemeanors: No fewer than 57 of Johnson’s ministers resigned from his government in July to force him out of Downing Street. Article from The Guardian today in the link here: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/oct/21/boris-johnson-pm-partygate-covid https://i....

Re: UK Politics: Truss Resigns

As a non-Tory supporter, I would say let Rishi have it - he told her it wasn't going to work but Liz allowed herself to be convinced otherwise. The party members may want Boris but can't see why the MPs would - considering there's still an inquiry running on the lie after lie that he told whilst in ...

Much more of this and UK will be heading for a General Election....
Pound against the Dollar at an all-time low since monitoring began (apparently).

Anyone else get the feeling they're just shuffling pieces of a puzzle game around to see what happens?

Re: The Queen’s state funeral.

We won't be making any personal effort to watch it but there's not much chance of avoiding it as it's all over the UK TV channels. An interesting article here below. We both fall into the 18 - 24 groups. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/sep/16/britain-grief-polling-figures-monarchy-pop...
