Re: Russians in Cyprus
We employ a Ukranian/Russian lady - whose family still live in the war-torn area... We also employ a Moldovan Russian speaker who is part Russian. We need them for language skills as English is not so universal in the old USSR. With both of them having lived in Russia (one calling herself Russian) t...

I honestly cannot see the point of these types of fashion shows.... I admit though, that fashion to me is way down my priorities, having wardrobes and drawers of items that allow me to be fashionable decades later....

Re: It had to happen... #Brexit
Rita The poster was to illustrate that there are invidious elements all across the Brexit question, including this vile lot who have identified some Tory MPs who have done nothing other than oppose Brexit... I am sure someone could find similarly, some groups who condemn MPs for supporting Brexit......

Re: It had to happen... #Brexit
Rita, I think Jimgward meant that LEAVE.EU was a far right nationalist group. They certainly aren't the official group who ran the Leave campaign, despite what their twitter id claims. Please tell me I am not wrong on that point. Dominic, you are absolutely correct. Brexit has spawned quite a few N...

Re: Title deeds
I have a question about Title deed which I will add here rather than start a new title deed thread.. Is it possible to have ONE title deed for a property in JOINT names??? This would then be like a joint bank account, if one person dies the other would take all the property .. Yes - but you need a ...

Devil, many thanks for that. It's amazingly a step back in time to an era that is difficult to perceive. Pre-Independence and partition.(oops)

Re: It's 'economic murder': NHS cuts are blamed for 120,000 extra deaths over the past seven years
Good post Jim. If only I was younger you could employ me and together we could sort the NHS out!! :D ;) The solutions are staring us in the face.... Culture the wall that blocks us.... Terrible that in 2017, district nurses still use paper diaries, yet will use facebook, snapchat, WhatsApp and what...

Re: It's 'economic murder': NHS cuts are blamed for 120,000 extra deaths over the past seven years
Actually, I am open-minded about the conclusions and as Poppy has pointed out, not all academic studies can be 100% accepted as is. My second post, questioning if the NHS was fit for purpose, was a discussion point. I am greatly in favour of the principle of the NHS, but realise that in today's worl...

Re: It's 'economic murder': NHS cuts are blamed for 120,000 extra deaths over the past seven years
I think the answer is in improvements to the service itself plus a complete re-dseign. A huge problem today is bed-blocking - usually by elderly or infirm patients who cannot look after themselves and are in a hospital bed, when they should go through 'reablement' as its called. This is where you re...

Re: It's 'economic murder': NHS cuts are blamed for 120,000 extra deaths over the past seven years
The above article I have posted in it's entirety. I first saw it on the BMJ site, but then searched Daily Mail as, from experience, I know that will be accepted more by more people on here... It's truly shocking. It makes for terrible reading and I have never seen a REDUCTION in life expectancy comi...
