Get paid for electric car power generation
Sorry for resurrecting this again, but it brings a smile to my face  Its from the BBC How your electric car could be 'a virtual power station' By Theo Leggett Business correspondent If electric cars really are the future, where is all the electricity to power them going to come from? There are ...

Re: The Cult of Celebrity
There are Celebrities who really annoy me, but they obviously bring pleasure to some. There are some who are really talented and also bring pleasure to many. There are some who just seem to be there because they are there. So bringing this back to a Cyprus perspective, where would you place George M...

Re: sewerage smells.
Try to find out where the smell is coming from. Check the sinks, showers, baths etc. One common problem when carrying out modifications to existing drains is interference with the soil vent arrangement. If it has been interfered with (or in some cases removed) then when you flush the toilet (or drai...

Re: Russians Oligarchs little toy.
It was moored of the Anassa hotel for all the time we were out (not at the Anassa I may add). They would drop off people onto the beach most days with the little launch that has been designed especially for it (you can see it in the second picture). It looks like a brick and appeared to float like o...

Thanks for that Al. Unfortunately I have , it is not the locking mechanism, but the tilting mechanism that is causing problems, it feels like the gears have been stripped in some cases. There does not appear to be an easy way in.

Shutter Maintenance
Hi
Has anyone got recommendations for shutter maintenance persons that would cover the Polis area. We have some shutters whose mechanism isn't working properly and would like to get fixed.
Thanks
Robert

Re: Engineers
There are areas of engineering where you do need to differentiate between a fully qualified chartered status engineer and say a HNC qualified. For example you can buy structural design packages off the shelf that any HNC qualified designer can use, but the design calcs within the software have to be...

Me too, aphrodites rock is an essential stop on the way to the villa. They do tasters of all the beers, great fun. Also either have lunch or a Pizza whilst you are there, we (one of my daughters and I) had one of those quattro ones whilst quaffing the different beers, absolutely delicious, both the ...

Re: An infrastructure for charging electric vehicles takes shape
Cars will generally be charged overnight when electricity is cheap and plentiful (and drivers asleep, should be fun with teenagers borrowing dads car and not connecting the charger). Governments will tax electricity used to charge cars to compensate for loss of revenue (only certainties are death an...

Hi
I remember someone mentioning that they put extra covers over them to protect from stains. Would it be possible to give some details, ours are being destroyed by sun tan lotion.

It depends on how the staff decide to be on the day, usually it is not a problem. If your cabin bag is over size you should make sure that any valuables can be quickly removed, just in case they decide to put it in the hold, and carry a spare padlock to secure it if they do

I wonder,
perhaps the future will see standardised batteries that get replaced at stations, similar to the existing network of petrol stations.

I was turped in the UK by Mr Bottom (I kid you not), took longer than i expected to recover, but all fine now.
