Re: 16 beaches in Paphos to be given Blue Flag

Fixed now. There is an obscure bug in the software. An article that starts with a number causes a problem. I could tell you why but I am yawning as I type this. I changed the number to read "sixteen" and it works now.

Re: Touch wood! Reds...

No, I'm referring to a UK fan of a UK team A being pleased that a UK team B has been knocked out of an international competition.

Besides, I support Lincoln City. Your thin beats our thickest thick. :)

Re: Touch wood! Reds...

I never did understand the mentality of some "football supporters". They care less about football and more about mindlessly following the image of a club which bears no similarity to real life. If you cannot appreciate good football regardless of who kicks the ball, you are not a football ...

Foinikas Heights

We love Foinikas, the abandoned village on the banks of the Asprokremmos Reservoir. We've already blogged about it twice though, so I thought I would take a look at some of the surrounding countryside, and see what else the valley has to offer. Hopefully I will show you that you can find stunning, r...

Re: Quality driving

Plan B is dig my way out! There is nothing "macho" about liking exploring though. My wife enjoys it just as much.

Re: Shake reduction in videos

This is filmed using a gopro mounted on the bonnet of the car. The arm it is mounted with does absorb some of the impact, especially if I remember to clean the surface it sticks to first. But the bonnet itself moves and vibrates, so the camera will also. Lets face it, it's never going to be a smooth...

Everybody likes it smooth. Not often we get completely unanimous polls. I am referring to here and Facebook, in case anybody wonders.

Re: Running Out of Space on E: Drive?

The system files would be hidden too, in a different way. Open up Explorer Click View Click Options Click on the View tab. Scroll down and you will see an option with something like "Hide operating systems files (recommended)" Uncheck that, and see what you can see on D: Check it again aft...

Re: Full English Anyone?

Worst English Breakfasts I ever saw were in Nepal. Utterly disgusting. They would half cook the eggs at 6AM then reheat when serving, so you would get a fried egg cooked on the outside but raw in the middle. "Bacon" would be chopped up leftovers, and the potato thing was equally foul. Mere...

Shake reduction in videos

Which do you prefer? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqOJoVq0ey8&feature=youtu.be Interestingly, the smoother one also looks like I am travelling more slowly, even though it is the same clip. I'm trying to improve video quality, and this is one way. I like having less bumps but I don't feel I'm ...

Re: Quality driving

The hard bit was I was coming home after a day out on my own. I had done two hikes and was knackered, but thought I could just do a bit more offroading...

Then I had to dig the car out.

Re: Running Out of Space on E: Drive?

Can you see system files as well?

Also, are you expecting it to be empty or are you expecting there to be data on it?

Re: Running Out of Space on E: Drive?

If I had to guess at anything, I would guess that at some point you set up a backup system, which has created a hidden file on Drive E. This backs up your data, and has gradually been getting bigger and bigger.

Does that ring any bells?

Anybody fond of using the "New Posts" link will know that I have been loading up next months events. If it is irritating, and I understand why it might be, then please use the "Active Topics" view instead. However, I have a broader question. It is far better to use the main site ...
