Re: Amazon log in issue

Thanks Gerry

I'll try typing the code into the verification box on my laptop and see if I can get in. I'll have to key it in manually though! If that doesn't work, I'll try the tel numbers.

Re: Amazon log in issue

Thank you for your replies. 71 Trans Am - I hear what you are saying and have been thinking that I might have to do just that, get a smart phone as more and more often institutions are sending apps to smart phones, in particular banks. But I don’t use the phone very much for calls and have a hard jo...

Amazon log in issue

I am having difficulty logging into Amazon. Now when I am sent a OTP verification code it is a complicated looking series of letters followed by the words “Tap to respond”. As I don’t have a smart phone I cannot do this. To speak to Amazon by phone or chat I am asked to log in, which I can’t do. Man...

Re: Gallblader

I have recently undergone an ultrasound for possible gallstones. Nothing found but previously I did google gallbladder removal and it seems that here it is performed by laparoscopy even at the General, which I understand equates to shorter stay in hospital and shorter recovery time.

Re: Covid vaccine side effects

Had the vaccination at 10.30am yesterday. Around 4pm got the chills and shivers. Managed to keep warm overnight and feel better today.

Mrblobby

Probably the Press and Information office. I looked there this morning and there is a notice that from today over 88s can book an appointment.

1pm has been the time to book an appointment at the Evangelismos for a while, well, certainly since the virus, so there is nothing strange about that.

Re: Over 70s driving licence renewal extra documents required

Just been back to the CSC with the extra documents. All accepted and then I noticed the new driver’s licence will expire before my birthday date. I was told it was because it was taken from the date the doctor signed the medical certificate. I haven’t read that anywhere before! Jim B Sorry I have on...

chis&pam

It doesn't make a lot of sense. If you have an MEU3 this should prove you have been resident for at least five years and according to when you renewed your driving licence, that would also have poof of residency.

I think your wife has to go with your marriage certificate.

Re: Over 70s driving licence renewal extra documents required

Tuppence I made an appointment to collect the forms but I don't know if you have to or not. I knew that the medical form could be downloaded but didn't know the application form could. I thought the staff filled in the latter for you. As this is my first time at this I collected the forms because I ...

Over 70s driving licence renewal extra documents required

I went to the Citizens Service Centre this morning with my completed doctor's medical and almost completed application form, both of which I had collected from the CSC. I was informed that we now need additional documentation i.e. yellow slip and 12 months utility bill. Be warned.

Re: Black and white kerb markings

Thanks for all your replies. I am thinking more that it is to highlight the kerb having now seen a picture and something like "warning of kerb construction". At first I thought no parking but they are everywhere and surely people can't be banned from parking along almost every bit of roads...

Black and white kerb markings

Does anyone know for certain what the black and white kerb markings mean that are appearing just about everywhere? I have googled the question a few times and for the first time ever I haven't been able to find the answer to a query.

Re: Tax form 2019

I've typed this reply out twice already today but it hasn't shown up. Here goes again...and I just hope all three don't suddenly come online! mikestrand2 If you phoned your UK pension providers and asked for the TIC (Tax Identification Code) perhaps they did not realise what you were talking about. ...

I don't understand your first paragraph - to what are you referring?

I phoned the banks and asked them for the TIC numbers. That was relatively easy!

Re: Tax form 2019

Thanks a so much Dot n Dash! It worked! I am very grateful. Once I had entered this another bunch of errors came up but I have sorted them now and tax form sent off. The daft thing about the maximum nine digits etc is that I have a Cyprus pension which was added automatically along with the GHS with...

Re: Tax form 2019

Thank you to both. At least my mind is eased about the darkened box. Why tell me to enter a figure but not let me do it?! I spent what seemed like a long time this morning entering variations of the GHS withheld tax figure and nothing was accepted. I am totally at a loss as to what to do next. Could...

Re: Tax form 2019

Help needed please. I am getting the message "Row 1. Field GHS WITHHELD must be number with maximum 9 digits and 2 fractional digits. Positive numbers do not need a sign". I have inserted eight noughts in front of the number to bring it up to nine with the decimal point and following numbe...
