Thanks for all the advice. It was knowing about the hollow bricks and the fancy electric cabling that made me seek advice. I think we'll give it a go! :D

D.I.Y.advice p!ease.

We are looking to put our TV on wall brackets. Have sussed out type required etc, but the instructions seem to be for homes with stud walls. Does anyone know what would be required to make a safe job of the wall mounting? Would hate for it to pull out whilst the TV is on it. I thought about a block ...

Re: MEU3.Is it nessesary??

Heard something today from an acquaintance. A friend of theirs went to apply in Paphos for the MEU3 and they refused to even look at the paperwork when the marriage certificate was found not to have been apostilled. So, acquaintance went to a "fixer" who said it was true and to get it sent...

Re: MEU3.Is it nessesary??

I can see the advantage of MEU3 and aplying for citizenship. I do not keep utility bills for that length of time. Do they actually want 60 months of bills or just some of them dating back that far? As Cactus lil says, we had to go through all that rigmarole to get the MEU1 in the first place! Also d...

Re: Changes to UK/Cypriot Double Taxation Agreement

I have a small LG pension, but I don't earn enough overall to be taxed. Getting rent from UK property takes me into the tax arena. I was wondering if, we elect to become resident and a national, how this will affect the SDC which we are exempt from paying until after 17 years in Cyprus? If we then b...

Re: Car INsurance, a couple of questions

I think you should ask your UK insurance company if you can cover until you are registered over here. Ours gave us a month but you would need to ask so they can memo it, if they allow it. You can get insurance based on your chassis no before you are registered anyway, over here. I believe you cannot...

St Stephens on the main road from the square to Emba road. 11a.m start. It is just a little past SAS security, same side. It doesn't look church like, so watch out for it! Just past the few shops there, before Chemist.
