Re: Phone and Internet Connection

We were with Cyta for 7+ years and then with PrimeTel for the remainder of our 12 years in Cyprus until we left last year. We were very happy with both providers. Excellent customer service if we ever needed to call them up and pleasant engineers who came to visit. Never complained about our 2 dogs ...

Re: Divine retribution?

It doesn't matter if they are vermin or not.... There is a way of culling in a humane manner and not turning it into a "sporting event".

Re: Pan Handle Trip

The beach huts always had great reviews on the forum in the past when it was CL. Meals are served communally on one long table al fresco so you have to be prepared to mix with a number of other people. The huts are fairly basic but in a great position. It's something we missed out on as we never got...

Re: New check in facility to speed up procedure at Paphos airport

We encountered these machines at Manchester airport for the first time when we returned from our break in Malta a few months ago. It was total chaos.... and took us almost 40 minutes to get through Passport Control with a taxi waiting for us. Luckily, we were on a fixed journey charge! Staff were di...

You can also download an app for your phone - it will send you a notification a few minutes before the station is due to pass by.

Re: Divine retribution?

If there is a reason for animals to be culled - it should be done in a humane way, not with animals being ripped and torn to shreds with the young squirming pups being stamped on when the pregnant mothers' stomach is ripped open.

That is not "sport" - that is cruel and barbaric.

Re: Mouse brings civil service office to a standstill

LOL, just giggling at the bit about the rabbit and the cat flap and thought I would share this with you... Apparently, the other weekend our next door neighbour got up in the early hours as it was coming light to take a pee. As he crossed the hallway his foot touched something soft, so thinking it w...

Karma eh? Don't you just love it when it comes back to bite someone in the bum :-) A shame that yet another magnificent animal had to die all for a bit of fun though :-( But hey, if the Tories win the election these people can just all come to uk and kill the foxes as well as carry on with the ivory...

Re: Mouse brings civil service office to a standstill

We used to have a mouse in our house in Cyprus and we had mice here in UK for a short time too - until we worked out how they were getting inside and blocked their entry. I would rather see half a dozen mice running around inside than a single cockroach. Something about Cyprus that I don't miss at a...

I shared the Paws of Hope article on Facebook this afternoon and have received a request from someone at Hermia Paws of Hope to contact Joseph Mearing (Customer Service Operations Manager at BA) who will speak to someone there.

The info is on their page.....

Agreed, Rita - the second most poignant as my home town of Heywood was featured although the programme wasn't filmed there.... There was some discussion on a local facebook group about whether the members felt the programme should be aired because of the impression it would give of the area. Similar...
